So you’ve finally finished your screenplay and that big contest or producer is just around the corner, but something just isn’t working and you can’t put your finger on exactly what it is.

Or maybe you have what you think is a blockbuster idea for a film, but structure has never been your strong suit.

Don’t panic.

Send me your script or treatment and I’ll give you professional criticism and high quality development notes for a very affordable rate.

I'm NOT offering studio-style coverage or a synopsis of your material. That isn't what this is about. What I do is help you dig up deficits and brainstorm solutions to make your material bullet proof.

By working together one on one, we’ll not only improve your material, we’ll take your craft to the next level much faster than you could alone.

Logline and Premise Help: $30 New!

Whether you have several ideas that you think might make great films and you’re not sure which is the strongest, or you have just one idea and you’re not sure if it’s focused enough or expressed in the strongest way, we’ll come up with a winning logline together through a maximum of five e-mails. A real bargain.

Treatment or Outline Notes: $75

Advice and suggestions for improving one draft of your treatment or outline. Emphasis on premise, character development, and structure. Notes on subsequent drafts are $50 each. Get it right before you write.

Script Notes: $140

In my most popular service, I provide in-depth development notes that address deficits in concept, character development, dialogue, structure, and style, then give creative solutions that will help you get your script into fighting form. Also included is minor proofreading and extensive margin notes on an annotated copy of your script. Studio coverage and synopsis is not included.

Script notes on subsequent drafts are 25% off!

(Please note that I charge an additional $5 for each page beyond 120 pages.)

Act 1 Notes: $45 New!

If you’ve finished the first act and you want to make sure you’re heading in the right direction before moving on, send me the first 25-35 pages and I’ll give you thorough notes and advice to make sure you’re building on a solid foundation. It’s also very useful if you’ve finished your script and you want to know if your opening works. Remember, the 1st 10 pages can make or break any script. Maximum 35 properly formatted pages.

Scene Workshopping: $45 New!

A screenplay is a chain of scenes. You may have memorable characters and a stellar concept, but if your scenes fall flat, the whole screenplay is sunk. This service is about getting your scene to do what you want it to do. It’s a condensed, one on one workshop in scene-building, and it works like this -- you write a scene and I help you improve it though a maximum of five e-mails. No more than 10 properly formatted pages.
